BLCK VC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on a mission to expand Black wealth and ownership in the venture capital ecosystem.

We exist to build a more inclusive future — one where Black investors, founders, and fund managers have equitable access to opportunities, capital, and networks. Our work is rooted in the belief that representation in venture capital isn’t just necessary — it’s transformative.

What We Do

Through our programs, we equip emerging Black investors with the tools, training, and community needed to thrive in venture capital:

Black Venture Institute: A groundbreaking educational initiative in partnership with top-tier VCs, training the next generation of Black investors and leaders.
Breaking into Venture (BIV): A career development pipeline helping early-career Black professionals access VC roles through mentorship, community, and job placement.
Venture Fellows Program: A deep-dive fellowship experience supporting mid-career Black professionals in transitioning into investing roles with long-term impact.
Ongoing Ecosystem-Building Events and workshops across the U.S., amplifying Black voices and bringing together thought leaders to address systemic barriers in VC.

We’ve graduated hundreds of Black professionals from our programs, many of whom have gone on to launch funds, lead investments, and drive innovation within the venture space.
